We live in the dark, unaware of the lives, perspectives and experiences of so many fellow human beings. This limits our view on all aspects of life beyond imagination, including the creation of art.We create art with a certain audience in mind - usually people who look just like ourselves and are part of the same scene, subculture or social circles. So I want to ask you: What happens if you use this limiting view as a source of inspiration? What happens if you put your imagination to the test or better: start a dialogue with people who you’d never expect to attend your show or exhibition?Have you ever considered how someone who can’t or can barely hear experiences a live music performance? Or how someone who can’t or can hardly see, experiences a concert? Which aspects are important to them and what do they pay attention to?I challenge you to step out of your comfort zone and explore new realms of possibilities. I promise you: it will enrich your life, creation process and the experience your create for ALL potential fans. KUZKO and Joël Domingos will agree.Check out the short film we released for Immersion Playground - part ofRevelland- about creating immersive live performances inspired by various sensory limitations and with the direct involvement of people with sensory limitations.Shout-out to our partners: Cultuur Innovatiefonds Provincie Utrecht, No Man's Land, St. Popwaarts // Popronde, voordekunst and TivoliVredenburg! For the full story, check the blog post: https://lnkd.in/edNHNvVS

The Future of Immersive Education and Music. "The Disruptive Convergence".Interview with Carlos J. Ochoa, Director and Producer of #Music5Senses from ONE Digital Consulting. An immersive educational experience in #VR aims to bring classical music closer to schoolchildren through discovery from the heart of an orchestra and its relationship with nature and the ecosystem. Participants become active participants in the experience, fostering engagement through a narrative reminiscent of video games.Creating immersive experiences in educational settings is particularly challenging. When these experiences revolve around classical music, the complexity increases exponentially. Hence, we embarked on the project with an innovative and daring perspective."Music with the Five Senses" has recreated a magical world in virtual reality that cannot be replicated in the real world. A classical music concert traversing natural spaces and recreated 3D contexts offers an experience impossible to enjoy otherwise. The sounds of #Mozart, #Tchaikovsky, and #Respighi come to life with animated choreography in 2D and 3D within a magical and immersive world, transcend beyond their musical notes, or the extraordinary interpretation of young talents. They transport you to forgotten paradises, lost corners, impossible natures... reminding you of the importance of keeping the cycle of life alive.Key figures of the project to date include over 10 intense months of work, involving a team of more than 50 professionals, more than 3,000 hours of production and development, over 100 hours of recording in 20 different locations, and virtual reconstructions. Music 5 Senses was filming with 360º 4K cameras and ambonic soundMore than 10,000 students from numerous schools and educational centers have already experienced the project with a success rate of over 95% in various formats: workshops, music classes, masterclasses, etc. This experience taught us how to adapt classroom spaces to this new storytelling, creating a more interactive and personalized experience for everyone. In Chapter II, participants will immerse themselves in an educational experience exploring the realm of sensations and emotions surrounding musical passages by Mozart, Respighi, and Tchaikovsky. A new, more interactive, and navigable version allows firsthand experience of the passion for classical music and its contextualization with nature, playing games in the ocean and virtual islands within a magical world."Music with the Five Senses" is a project by Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, directed, produced, and developed by ONE Digital Consulting "ONEXRStudio," adapted from an original screenplay by #FernandoPalacios, with concerts performed by the Camerata of the School of Music Reina Sofía, conducted by Prof. #GiovanniGuzzo.Listen to the full interview below:#Music5Senses, #ImmersiveArts, #ClassicalMusic, #FutureEducation, #CreativeArts, #XR4Ed, #ONEXRStudio, ONE Digital Consulting

I'm genuinely intrigued by the rise of digital avatar artists like Hatsune Miku, Zlu Hume, and Angelbaby, who are captivating audiences at major venues like Coachella 2024. The blend of advanced technology and artistic creativity these virtual performers bring is reshaping what we consider entertainment. While the popularity and potential of these digital sensations are undeniable, they also raise important questions about the future of human artists. Can digital avatars complement the creative efforts of human artists, or might they unintentionally edge them out? What will the broader impact be on those who've dedicated their lives to music?I'd love to hear your thoughts on this emerging trend:* How do you feel about the coexistence of human and digital artists?* What approaches could human artists take to remain relevant in this evolving landscape? In your opinion, how should industry leaders balance these exciting technological advancements with traditional performing arts?Your perspectives are essential as we explore these new developments together. Let's talk about it!#MusicIndustry #DigitalInnovation #EntertainmentTechnology #Coachella2024https://lnkd.in/e_9EnDSe

One of the biggest effects of the streaming era? How an artist's live & recording businesses have been totally decoupled. Pre-streaming, an artist's recorded music business & live business were totally correlated. You sold "x" number CDs/ iTunes DLs? You'd sell "x" tickets. There were very few exceptions. Now, an artist's live & streaming businesses are completely separate. Some have success in streaming but don't have a live touring base: I worked with an artist who will pass 1B streams next year, yet struggled to sell 500 tickets in major markets. This is an extreme example but no longer unusual. Phish - and jambands in general - have the opposite challenge. They were releasing records during the height of the CD boom to very modest success, but their live business has always been many factors better. After U2, Phish is doing the next Sphere Entertainment Co. run in Vegas. They sold out 80,000 tickets for the four night run in six minutes, grossing over $20M USD. This, from a band, who has just over 400k listeners on Spotify. As much as I disparage jambands ( 🙉 ), their fans are older, have disposable income, and they do great business because of it.#musicindustry #musicbusiness #livemusic #spherelasvegas

THE BEST WAY TO IMPROVE YOUR FESTIVAL IN 2024Improving a festival can involve various aspects, depending on the nature of the event. Here's one suggestion that can contribute to enhancing the overall experience:Diverse and Engaging Programming:Lineup Variety: Ensure a diverse and appealing lineup that caters to a broad audience. Include artists and performers from different genres, backgrounds, and cultures to attract a diverse crowd.Interactive Activities: Incorporate interactive and engaging activities that go beyond the main stage performances. Workshops, art installations, and unique experiences can add depth to the festival and provide attendees with memorable moments.Themed Areas: Create themed areas or stages to cater to different tastes. For example, have a dedicated area for electronic music, a chill-out zone, or a family-friendly section. This allows attendees to explore and find experiences that resonate with their preferences.Community Involvement: Involve the local community in the planning and execution of the festival. This could include partnerships with local businesses, artists, or organizations to showcase the unique aspects of the area.Remember, the key is to offer a well-rounded and enjoyable experience for attendees, ensuring that there's something for everyone. Regularly gather feedback from previous festivals to understand what worked well and where there is room for improvement. Adjust and iterate based on this feedback to continually enhance the festival experience.#festival #music #love #dj #party #rave #dance #photography #india #art #concert #edm #techno #instagram #livemusic #instagood #musicfestival #diwali #summer #live #bhfyp #housemusic #fashion #festivals #trance #festivalfashion #event #festivalseason #electronicmusic #celebration

🚨The #U2 concert https://lnkd.in/e9iJMwME is a lesson on how to merge tech, culture & entertainment to create a #transformative experience. 🚨If you're curious how to start designing in that medium, LMK. My partner played a small roll - along w/MANY other partners - in bringing that experience to life this weekend. It was a creative production masterpiece. 🙋🏽Here's my POV on the three key ingredients: Technology:📍The Sphere itself is a technological marvel. It is the world's largest spherical shaped venue, with a 360-degree video screen that surrounds the audience. 📍This screen allows for stunning visuals that can transport the audience to different worlds.📍The Sphere's sound system is also one of the most advanced in the world. It provides a truly immersive listening experience, with crystal clear sound that feels like the band is playing right in front of you.📍U2 also used technology to enhance their performance. For example, they used augmented reality to create the illusion of Bono floating in the air. Culture:📍U2 is one of the most iconic and successful rock bands of all time. They have a huge and passionate fan base, and their music has resonated with people all over the world.📍U2's music is also deeply rooted in culture. Their songs often deal with themes such as social justice, love, and spirituality.📍The Sphere concert was a celebration of U2's music and culture. The setlist featured a mix of classic hits and newer songs, and the band also included some surprises, such as a cover of David Bowie's "Space Oddity."Entertainment:📍The Sphere concert was a truly immersive and entertaining experience. The visuals, sound, and music all came together to create a show that was both exciting and thought-provoking.📍U2 also put on a very energetic and engaging performance. They interacted with the audience throughout the show, and they made sure that everyone was having a good time.#CreativeProduction #AlwaysLearning

...then you are missing how they disrupt how we ca- experience events and live shows. 🎧 While some argue that they provide an extraordinary and immersive experience, others believe they undermine the true essence of live performances. Imagine a scenario where multiple acts perform simultaneously, yet the lack of live amplification robs the audience of the raw energy and connection that comes from experiencing music in its loudest form. It's a controversial topic that raises questions about the future of music festivals and the balance between technology and authenticity. ✨🌿But behind this controversy lies a story of passion, innovation, and the pursuit of creating unforgettable moments. As a sound designer, I'm on a mission to push the boundaries of audio technology, striving to find the perfect harmony between innovation and giving people next-level immersive experiences. I invite you to join the conversation and share your thoughts on the silent disco phenomenon. Are they a groundbreaking evolution or a threat to the authenticity of live performances? Let's dive into this contentious discussion together! 🎶💫#SilentDisco #Innovation #Disruption #Liveevents #Events #Sound
