Both whitetails and mule deer are roaming about Nebraska unaware of the November season and a possible date with the hunter's freezer.

Whitetails are available in many of the units of central Nebraska. Mule deer range overlaps with that of the whitetail in central Nebraska and covers all of the western part of the state. Hunters are eligible to hold two deer permits both for firearm, both for archery, or one of each. -Plain Talk Continued from Page Five An area meeting on Masonic education will be held at the Masonic Temple at Alliance on Saturday, Oct. 11.

Hamburger on Bun For 27 Million In keeping with the theme of National President Mrs. Helen McGee, the National School Lunch Week committee has planned a Universal Menu which almost every school in the nation will serve Wednesday, Oct. 15: Hamburger on, bun, buttered green beans, tossed green salad, mixed fruit cup, peanut butter cookies and milk. Think of 27 million children eating the same lunch on the same day all over the nation.

Your cooperation will make it possible. We know all children love hamburgers so make menus with this in mind. County Attorney Critcized for Lack Of Prosecution at Recent Meeting Scotts Bluff County Attorney James W. Ponder was criticized at the regular meeting of the county commissioners Monday morning. Ponder told the board of commissioners he would be glad at any time to discuss the prosecution of any case that may be questioned by private citizens.

James Landrum, president of the County Juvenile Advisory Committee and a Scottsbluff minister, urged the commissioners to appoint a "grand jury" to investigate the way the County Attorney's office is being run. Although Landrum might be involved. The board also met with Deputy State Fire Marshal Fred Otte of Minatare in an attempt to remove an old shack north of Scottsbluff. The state fire marshal's office has initiated action in the District Court in Gering to get the building removed from the premises. Nothing can be done until all local requirements of condemnation are met.
